The Maldives Rapid Chess Challenge is a rapid-format, unrated tournament organised jointly by the Maldives Chess Club and Genius Chess Academy, created to give young minds a stage to dream big and play boldly. Its Cadet Division spans four age categories — U8, U10, U12, and U14 — welcoming every young player, from first-timers to rising stars, to test themselves without the pressure of ratings on the line. Free from that weight, players are encouraged to focus purely on growth, courage, and the joy of the game itself.
